I cannot believe my friend Will is gone.
I am in shock.
It's a sad time for VA powerlifing and powerlifting in general.

To you, John, and his family, I extend my heart felt condolences.

He was a father figure to me as he got me into this sport I love so much. I called him my uncle as I visited often during my youth at his mothers Margaret's farm. He will be missed by me as an advisor and mentor not only in lifting but also in life. You will be missed but I know you will be with me as I continue with this sport you and I love so dearly.

I am shocked to hear of Willie's passing. May the Lord welcome him home to His eternal kingdom.

I'm sure powerlifters all across Virginia will agree that he was a kind and generous man. He was always willing to help other lifters with a sincere smile on his face.

I've known Willie for many years as a friend. I'm shocked and can not believe he is gone. Powerlifting has lost a great one. It's sad and he will be missed.

Rest in Peace

We are going to miss Will very much. But John, we know we will see him again! :) He was( and still is )a awesome man. He would always take time and help me with my lifting. I loved seeing him at the meets and catching up and talking about our cars. Its very sad for us still here without him. But Will is at a great place and still very much alive!

When I read this morning about the passing of Will, I could not believe that it was my Will. I am still in shock over his passing.

I have known Will since I began powerlifting in the late 80's and have judged at his and John meet for many years. Will was always there to help the lifters and always upbeat and positive.

I will miss Will very much. Virginia powerlifting community has lost a very special and wonderful person.

Will you will be missed very much but you will always hold a special place in my heart.

Rest in Peace my Friend.

My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and John.
