Virginia Powerlifting News 8/21/07
USAPL News:
USAPL Virginia is forming a state executive committee. The committee list will be posted here next week. Phillip Battle is now the Vice Chairman for Virginia. Phillip is a very good lifter in 275 and Super heavyweight classes. He is the Meet Director for the USAPL Richmond Open and very involved in the Special Olympics. Phillip is a USAPL State referee.
The USAPL Virginia State Hall of Fame will be started this fall. It will include lifters, administrators, coaches and judges The first inductees will be placed in on December 8, 2007 at the Virginia State Championships in Stewartsville. Each year at the state meet new inductees will be added.

100% RAW News:
August 25 will be the 100% Raw Eastern USA Open Bench Press and Strict Curl. The meet will be at the Blue Ridge Health and Fitness Center in Stanardsville. The meet will feature awesome sculpture trophies made by Carl Seeker. Entry forms online at RAW Powerlifting . There is plenty of room left for lifters wanting to compete.
Many of the 2008 Virginia 100% Raw meets are already posted on schedule at RAW Powerlifting-Events.
